Service standards built on the intelligence of 30 million devices in operation worldwide

CPI Service is a division of Crane Payment Innovations, a manufacturer of sophisticated payment, authentication, cash processing and self-service technologies. Decades of experience designing, building and supporting this equipment in the field form the foundation for the service business today.

With more than 30 million devices installed globally throughout retail, gaming, banking, and transportation environments, CPI technology powers the applications where uptime matters most. That background defines how we approach service for every customer.

We understand sophisticated technology, because we design it.

The CPI heritage is rooted in engineering. Our specialty is complex electro-mechanical equipment designed to accept and authenticate currency. Within the split second it takes for a self-checkout machine to accept a single $20 bill, a CPI note recycler analyzes more than 5.5 million data points across 1,000 dimensions using more than 20 algorithms simultaneously. Then, a complex system of interlocking electromechanical components delivers that note from a patron’s hand to the secure cash box.

When we say we understand complexity, we mean it.

100 Years of Technology, Trust
and Partnerships

A spirit of continuous improvement and operational discipline powered our growth from supporting niche applications to a global technology powerhouse.

Today, CPI Service applies the same rigor to solving our customer’s uptime challenges, as we continue to build on over 100 years of trusted partnerships

Service expertise earned through experience, delivered with confidence.

We know what it takes to keep equipment operating reliably across diverse, demanding, high-volume environments. That’s because we do it every day. More than 200,000 of our own Cummins Allison brand devices are managed under annual service contracts by our nationwide support network.

For more than 50 years, casino operators, CITs, bank vaults and others have relied on Cummins Allison technicians for expert support and responsive field service.

Our mission is to exceed customers expectations

What we realized from our network of 15,000+ customers is that great equipment alone isn’t enough to keep operations operating smoothly. Reliable performance and assured uptime requires the intentional coordination of processes, partners and parts across multiple technologies and geographies. We saw how slow response times, inconsistent outcomes, and heavy operational burden were hurting our customers. That’s when we decided to extend our service expertise beyond our equipment and into theirs.
